It's SummerSlam season, baby! The pay-per-view, dubbed “The Biggest Party of the Summer”, will return on July 30 in Nashville, Tennessee. Because of that, the WWE is working hard to start promoting their second-biggest pay-per-view of the year.

One of the promotional materials for SummerSlam involve a certain Scottish Psychopath from Tennessee. Drew McIntyre, the former WWE champion, showed up to the Titans' Nissan Stadium to “train” for the event. McIntyre worked with Titans linebacker Ola Adeniyi and worked on some basic football drills. McIntyre is a Nashville native, which is likely why the WWE tapped him for this promo. The Scottish Warrior seemed to enjoy his training session with Adeniyi, even dancing with the linebacker and fielding some punts. McIntyre even did a classic football spike celebration after catching one pass.

Drew McIntyre is arguably one of the greatest redemption stories in the WWE. The Scottish wrestler was part of the company in the early 2010s, but he was never given a proper push back then. He was often relegated to lower-mid card roles and jobbing to other more prominent tag teams with 3MB.

The Scottish wrestler was released in 2014, but he never stopped wrestling. McIntyre continued to work in the independent circuit, eventually finding his identity in TNA and Evolve. He returned to the WWE in 2018, and two years later, won the Royal Rumble AND the WWE championship in the same year.

As of the time of writing, Drew McIntyre doesn't have an official match at SummerSlam yet. Considering that he's one of the bigger stars of the company, though, it's safe to say that the Scottish Warrior will find a match at some point.
