To say that Washington Football Team quarterback Dwayne Haskins has had a rough start to the new season would be a complete understatement. After starting the first few games for Washington, the 23-year-old saw himself demoted to a third-string reserve. Haskins is not in a very good place right now, and teammate Terry McLaurin has some advice for the embattled QB.

According to McLaurin, Haskins needs to find it within himself to just keep on fighting:

“I think it's easy when you get knocked down in life to sulk or feel bad for ourselves,” McLaurin said, via Ethan Cadeaux of NBC Sports Washington. “Oftentimes, the only way you get through something is you attack it head-on. You've got to be honest with yourself. You have to ask yourself what you can do better and attack it from there.”

“I think he just needs to continue to just grind, man. Nothing's easy in this football league, man. Nothing is going to be handed to you. Nobody is going to feel sorry for you, either.”

McLaurin knows Haskins well. These two have been teammates for the past five years. The pair played together with the Ohio State Buckeyes for three years, before both of them were drafted by Washington in 2019.

Dwayne Haskins' recent fall from grace has led to speculations of a potential move away from Washington. There have already been reports of a possible trade for the former 15th overall pick, and at this point, his future is anything but guaranteed in Washington. McLaurin provides some solid advice here, though, and for his sake, it would be in his best interest for Haskins to heed his teammate's call.
