The Washington Football Team lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15 proceedings, ending their previous four-game winning streak. Despite the loss, wide receiver Terry McLaurin spoke on how they will approach the remainder of the season after encountering a tough roadblock against the Seahawks.
Basically, just move on to the next one:
“Next game mentality. We can't do anything about the last one,” he said, via Ethan Cadeaux of NBC Sports Washington. “We can't hang our heads and worry about this missed opportunity when we still have the opportunity to make the playoffs and get what we want.”
McLaurin also wants his teammates to hold their heads high and finally handle their business in the next couple of weeks.
The Seahawks got off to a hot start and ran out to a 20-3 lead, but Washington attempted to have a final push in the fourth quarter by leaning on the team's aerial attack led by Dwayne Haskins.
Tight end Logan Thomas notched 101 receiving yards on 13 touches, while McLaurin added 77 yards on seven receptions. Running back J.D. McKissic racked up 56 yards on nine receptions along with a touchdown for Washington.
Their collaborative efforts weren't enough as the Seahawks eventually snagged the 20-15 victory, which improved their record to a 10-4 record. Meanwhile, Washington slid to a 6-8 tally but remained in the top spot of the NFC East ahead of the New York Giants.
Terry McLaurin and the rest of the squad will have another chance to inch closer to clinching the division as they go up against the Carolina Panthers in Week 16 proceedings.
