Nicki Minaj wanted to let Barbz know she was sorry for canceling her show in Amsterdam due to her arrest and more.

In the lengthy post, she mentions the reasons for the delay, including her being detained, having a late plane, and having a cutoff time to perform.

Nicki Minaj's arrest and apology

Just to give a little backstory to all this, she was arrested at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport for supposedly carrying drugs in her luggage. The singer shared a clip of all of this happening on X and Instagram, where she wrote that “they said they found weed” and shared more details.

In her apology, Minaj wrote, “Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you & all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination.”

She added, “After sitting in a jail cell for 5-6 hours, my plane still didn't take off for another 20 mins once I boarded. The flight was 50 mins. 50 mins. That's why they had to do the big song & dance b/c they knew I'd still find a way to perform even if it came down to my last 90 mins in the building which would have been until 1130pm. The building was willing to go past 11pm. So grateful to them for that.”

The star continued, “So they succeeded at their plan to not let me get on that stage tonight. I succeeded @ getting to the root of it all by recording them & posting everything in real time. I have soooooooo much video evidence. You wouldn't belive it if I told you. I'll have the lawyers & GOD take it from here tho.”

In regards to saying she was sorry, saying, “Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies. They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass.”

The singer claims this is nothing new.

“They've been doing this over & over & over & over & over again & I've tried so hard to not discuss it b/c you guys deserve to just get the good stuff,” she wrote. “I hate involving you in anything that isn't for entertainment purposes only.”

Regarding rescheduling, she wrote, “we will have another date for tonight's show shortly & I'll probably be able to share it tmrw. One July option & one Jne option is currently being discussed. I'll find a way to not only make the date with the performance but I'm going to create an added bonus for everyone that had a tkt for this show. Promise.”

The songwriter added her dates for her Manchester and Birmingham show and ended by saying, “ok Barbz Love you.”

Also, she shared a video clip of her outside of the star's hotel where she said she was “I love you, and I'm so sorry.”

Deadline reported that Sky News disclosed a statement stating that Minaj would be released from custody and pay a fine for an undisclosed amount for “illegally exporting soft drugs from the Netherlands to another country.”

It sounds like Nicki Minaj's arrest will have no major repercussions, and she'll continue forward with her. Lucky for Barbz, she will make up for the canceled show in Amsterdam sometime soon. Plus, surely, this arrest can inspire a hit song.
