Nikola Jokic won MVP last season and he's already one of the clear frontrunners to win it again in 2022 alongside Joel Embiid. After a 46-point performance on Sunday night, George Karl is ready to hail The Joker as the greatest player to ever suit up for the Denver Nuggets as well. That's right, even above the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Alex English, and Dikembe Mutombo.

It might seem bold from Karl, but Jokic is doing things that are frankly unheard of for a big man. He's averaging an insane 25.8 points, 13.8 rebounds, and eight assists while shooting 36% from downtown. On Sunday, he not only dropped 46 but also had 12 boards and 11 dimes.

Sure, he's only been in the NBA for seven seasons but the Serbian is already solidifying himself as one of the greatest and versatile bigs ever. He was also the first Nuggets player to ever win MVP. That speaks for itself. Denver is strictly in the playoff mix because of Jokic's ability to carry this team. After their latest win over the Pelicans, the Nuggets are now at 38-26 and there is optimism that Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr will be back before the playoffs, which would be huge. That being said, don't sleep on the Nuggets come postseason time. At full strength, this squad is a force to be reckoned with.
