On Tuesday evening, the Denver Nuggets got back into the win column with a narrow road win over the Utah Jazz. Nikola Jokic stuffed the stat sheet once again in this one, scoring 22 points to go along with 12 rebounds and five assists in the win.
One controversial moment occurred late in this game when Jazz guard Keyonte George was attempting to box Jokic out on a free throw rebound, after which Jokic ended up essentially taking a piggyback ride, sending both players to the floor, and drawing an outcry from the fans in attendance.

After the game, Jazz coach Will Hardy spoke on the difficult challenge of keeping the Joker in check, specifically with smaller players such as George.
“There have been some other teams in the league that have guarded [Nikola] with smalls & it's about trying to wear him down, make catches tough… If you know a good coverage for Jokic, please email me,” said Hardy, per Oh No He Didn't on X, formerly Twitter.
Some fans on social media labeled the play as dirty. Making matters more ironic was the fact that Jokic was involved in another altercation last week against the Oklahoma City Thunder, when Oklahoma City forward Lu Dort attempted a blatant cheap shot by backing into Jokic's legs as he jogged up the court, which led to a heated skirmish between the two teams, and Dort being ejected.
Meanwhile, through the slew of chaotic plays that he's been involved with recently, Jokic has been rounding back into his MVP form after a bit of a slow start as he returned from a recent knee injury that sidelined him for a month.
The Nuggets currently sit at 38-24 on the season. They'll next take the floor on Thursday evening for a home game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
