The last time we saw Jamal Murray suiting up for the Denver Nuggets was in April. He's been out of action for over six months now after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL on his left knee. It looks like he's progressing well in his rehab, though, and the 24-year-old himself recently provided a positive update for the fans.
Murray admitted that he's still quite a ways away from returning to the basketball court, but at this point, there appears to be no setbacks in his road to recovery (h/t Mike Singer of the Denver Post):
The Nuggets have refused to provide a timetable on Murray's return to action. This only proves that the 6-foot-3 combo guard isn't at all close to a comeback. Then again, footage of Murray dunking the ball recently made its rounds all over social media. This recent update from Murray himself also points to the fact that at the very least, he's had some good progress in his rehab.
The Nuggets have been relatively impressive to start the season even without their star guard. They currently hold a 9-7 record, which as of Saturday afternoon, ranks fifth in a ruthless Western Conference. There's no guarantee that they will get Murray back this season, but if they do, this will definitely serve as a huge boost for the team and their title hopes.
