Kenneth Faried thinks he's a starter in this league. But it's going to be hard for him to make that happen with the Denver Nuggets.

Faried currently finds himself more likely to come off the bench after Denver acquired All-Star Paul Millsap this offseason, who should start at the four alongside Nikola Jokic at center.

Still, Faried had this to say during media day:

Faried also added that he has a chip on his shoulder and that if this team doesn't give him minutes, there are 29 other teams. Those are the kind of words that make it sound like Faried may be fed up with the situation in Denver.

Faried started in just 34 of of 61 games last season, playing in a career-low 21.2 minutes per night. He also saw his scoring dip below double-digits for the first in his career.

Millsap has been peaking a little later in his career making the All-Star team in each of his last four seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. He averaged 18.1 points (career-high), 7.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game last season. So it's essentially going to take an injury to pave the way for Faried starting.

Faried is still just 27 years old and could clearly earn more minutes elsewhere, depending on the situation. Already voicing some displeasure on media day makes it look like Faried's days in Denver are numbered.
