The Denver Nuggets are back to their winning ways, as they defeated the Brooklyn Nets in a 108-102 victory at Barclays Center on Sunday — but not before Michael Porter Jr. put on a show with a poster dunk — over his own teammate and not just any other teammate, but MVP race leader Nikola Jokic — in the third quarter of the contest.

After the game, Michael Porter Jr. talked a little bit about that dunk and even hilariously talked trash to Jokic.

“On your head boy,” Michael Porter Jr. said during a postgame interview (h/t Katy Winge of AltitudeTV).

It should be all good between Porter and Jokic. After all, Porter merely cleaned up the mess for the Nuggets in that play, as he converted an offensive rebound off a Jokic miss to a highlight bucket.

That dunk was hardly the only time Porter made noise against Brooklyn. He finished the contest with a game-high 28 points on 10-for-18 shooting from the field, 5-for-9 from deep, and 3-for-3 from the foul line, while adding nine rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes of action. Jokic, on the other hand, posted MVP numbers of 22 points, 17 rebounds,m and 19 assists in 36 minutes of work.  Denver also got 25 points and eight assists from guard Jamal Murray.

The Nuggets, who are having fun again after a road loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden last Friday, will take a well-deserved two-day rest before resuming action on Wednesday with a showdown against the Washington Wizards in DC.
