Nikola Jokic is without a doubt one of the greatest European players in the history of the NBA. The reigning league MVP has a bit of an affinity with players from his region — an understandably so — which could lead to the Denver Nuggets chasing EuroLeague star Vasilije Micic.
According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, Jokic has been a central figure in the Nuggets' reported interest in Micic. The 28-year-old guard was originally drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2014, but he has yet to make his NBA debut. Micic's draft rights were traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2020 as part of the Al Horford deal. Right now, though, it appears that Denver is in hot pursuit of Jokic's countryman:

Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic remains a hot name on the trade market. OKC holds his draft rights, and Nikola Jokic has been said to be a driving factor in Denver’s interest to obtain the EuroLeague MVP. San Antonio, Milwaukee and Chicago have also been mentioned as legitimate suitors.
As the above report states, the Nuggets have some competition for Micic. The San Antonio Spurs, Milwaukee Bucks, and Chicago Bulls have all been linked to the EuroLeague star as well, so Jokic and Co. will have their work cut out for them.
