Defense has never been a strong suit of Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, and Isaiah Thomas’ son took advantage of that.
The Nuggets host the Utah Jazz Saturday night at Pepsi Center, but before the game started, Nikola Jokic was playing some one-on-one with Isaiah Thomas’ son. The star big man got nutmegged by the little guy and scored on.

This is great and hilarious. Isaiah Thomas is still recovering from his hip injury and hasn’t played in a game yet. That’s not going to stop his son, though, from getting some buckets on Nikola Jokic.
This is definitely some footage that Isaiah Thomas and his family are going to cherish forever, while Nikola Jokic probably wants this film to be deleted from the internet.
Entering Saturday, Nikola Jokic is averaging 19.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 6.6 assists while shooting 53.5 percent from the field, 42.3 percent from beyond the arc and 86.4 percent from the free-throw line. The 23-year-old has registered six double-doubles and one triple-double in eight games.
The Nuggets are 7-1 so far this season. It’s still early, but Denver has the fourth best defense in the NBA, as they are only giving up 103.6 points per game.
Isaiah Thomas, who underwent hip surgery in March, signed a one-year, $2 million deal with the Nuggets. The lefty is being reunited with coach Michael Malone, who coached IT with the Sacramento Kings.
