Despite having the worst record in the NBA before the season was suspended due to COVID-19, the Golden State Warriors have a bright future ahead of them. Not a lot of teams can say that when they are the worst team in the NBA, but then again, Golden State isn't most teams.

The Warriors will be playoff contenders once again next season. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins will be taking the floor together for the first time as a foursome. Golden State will also have a top pick in the 2020 draft.

Curry played in only five games this season due to a broken left hand he suffered in the fourth game of the year against the Phoenix Suns after Aron Baynes landed on him. The two-time MVP underwent two surgeries before making his return against the Toronto Raptors on March 5.

In the five games he appeared in, Curry averaged 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists for the Warriors. The three-time champion also shot 40.2 percent from the field, 24.5 percent from beyond the arc, and a perfect 100 percent from the free-throw line.

Curry didn't play on March 7th against the Philadelphia 76ers or March 10th against the Los Angeles Clippers. He got sick and there was fear he had contracted COVID-19.

Fortunately, Curry didn't contract the deadly virus.

Thompson was always going to miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his ACL tear. The Warriors signed Klay to a long-term extension last summer, so there was no reason to jeopardize his health and future by rushing him back for this season.

The Warriors will once again be a feared team on offense with Curry and Thompson manning the backcourt in 2020-21. Green will be his usual self by acting as a swiss army knife and Wiggins figures to flourish in Golden State since he's no longer in a losing environment and asked to do everything.

Because the Warriors traded Willie Cauley-Stein to the Dallas Mavericks after the Mavs lost Dwight Powell to an Achilles tear, the Dubs will require a center this offseason. They can get one in the draft or sign a player in free agency.

Nerlens Noel is a player a lot of pundits would love to see play for the Warriors since his activity on offense and defense, particularly on the boards, would be lethal next to Green, Marquese Chriss and Eric Paschall.

Noel becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. His $2 million contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder will expire once the 2020 free agency period begins.

Noel averaged 7.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and one steal per game for the Thunder this season. He would flourish in the pick-and-roll game with Curry and Thompson, while also being a pest on defense with a former Defensive Player of the Year in Green in his ear at all times.

The Warriors have never wanted a center that needs the ball to be effective. The team doesn't like ball stoppers since Steve Kerr's offense is predicated on ball movement, screens, and constant motion.

Noel does all of his damage on offense on tip-ins, but he's also developed a good knack of establishing position down low quick on fast breaks where guards can hit him up real fast and he's able to score easily since his defender isn't in a good position.

Noel has career averages of 8.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. Let's see if the Warriors can steal another player from the Thunder.
