The Dallas Mavericks are enjoying a strong campaign season, registering a 7-4 record through their first 11 games. They are tied with the Denver Nuggets for the second-best record in the Western Conference.

Perhaps one of the low-key factors to the Mavericks' impressive start is the continued splurging of team owner Mark Cuban. He's notorious for pampering his players, and now, he's not skimping on remodeling the squad's training facility. Cuban has already reportedly spent as much as $70 million, but he's far from done.

But with Cuban's bold plans with the new building, the Mavericks could also be hit with a sad reality regarding their home arena, American Airlines Center (via The Dallas Morning News).

“I’d say the likelihood of us staying at the AAC right now is less than 50%. I think it’s time (to move). You know, the AAC is beautiful and it’ll last forever. There’s just more things I want to do.”

The possible move, however, won't happen until 2031 as the Mavericks still has a current 30-year lease at the AAC. But when that happens and guys like Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are still with the Mavericks, it would be a major transition.

Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis, and the other Mavericks have surely considered the AAC as their second home. But change is inevitable in the NBA, and playing in a new building could rejuvenate the team even more. Cuban and coach Jason Kidd have great memories at AAC as well, highlighted by their 2011 NBA Finals battle against the Miami Heat.

But in the meantime, the Mavericks don't want to look too far ahead.
