Dejounte Murray's All-Star season for the San Antonio Spurs has been electric to watch. The lanky point guard is putting together one of the best seasons in recent franchise history, breaking records left and right. Murray's ascent to basketball greatness is amazing to see, especially for die-hard fans.

During the All-Star weekend, Dejounte Murray's daughter Riley met a Spurs legend: “The Admiral”, David Robinson. Robinson bragged to the young Murray that her father has been breaking all of his previous franchise records.

Robinson wasn't kidding with his statement regarding his records. It seems like Murray made it his personal goal to break every Spurs record he can, as he's been on an absolute tear. He recently became the franchise's all-time triple-double king; an amazing achievement for someone as young as Murray.

Unfortunately, Murray's heroics haven't been able to lift the Spurs out of the doldrums this season. Losing DeMar DeRozan in the offseason left a bigger hole than anyone could've imagined. San Antonio currently holds a 23 – 36 record and sit at 11th place. It's a testament to how far the franchise has fallen since its glory days of past.

Still, there's plenty of hope for the Spurs to turn it around in the future. If there's one thing the franchise is known for, it's developing home-grown players and excellent management. With Murray emerging as the guard to build around, perhaps next season can bring new talent to carry SA back to their amazing form of the 2010s.

For now, though, Spurs fans can at least cheer on their All-Star guard, Dejounte Murray.
