Oklahoma City Thunder power forward Markieff Morris, like many people, are convinced that San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is the greatest coach in NBA history.

Morris, 29, believes the Popovich will “figure out” a way to get his team back on track.

“They have the best coach (Gregg Popovich), in my opinion, in NBA history. He’s going to figure out how to get wins.”

The Spurs are 34-29 with Popovich at the helm this year. He has a career 1,801 wins in 23 seasons with San Antonio and has only missed the NBA Playoffs one time.

The 70-year-old Popovich will be a surefire Hall of Famer when he finally decides to hang up his suit. The Thunder haven’t fared well against the Spurs. Since moving to Oklahoma City, the team has a 17-21 record against Pop and San Antonio.

The San Antonio Spurs are fresh off a much-needed 105-93 win against the Detroit Pistons, and will get set to play the Thunder on Saturday.

OKC fell to the Philadelphia 76ers 108-104 on Thursday night, in their first loss to the team in over 19 times playing each other.

Russell Westbrook will look to recover from his rough shooting night (8-of-24 from the field) against the Spurs.
