UFC 274 features a very strange rematch between Shogun Rua and Ovince Saint Preux. The two fought back in 2014 and had a very strange result where Rua slipped and was knocked out very quickly in the first round. ‘OSP' took that fight on very short notice.

There is a big possibility that Shogun Rua is going to retire after UFC 274 after having such a long career in MMA. Ovince Saint Preux is a tough matchup for him and the Haitian fighter is ready to prove it.

Ovince Saint Preux is coming off of a tough stretch that saw him lose by knockout two times in a row. That was at heavyweight. Now, he's back at 205 and ready to prove that the result of the first fight was not a fluke.

“I fought him one time and beat him. If I do it again, it will probably be a staple,” Saint Preux told MMA Junkie and other reporters at UFC 274 media day on Wednesday. “It sucks for him. At the end of the day, I’m trying to make a statement.”

Many people are talking about the first fight between the two and how quickly Ovince Saint Preux knocked out Shogun Rua the last time they fought. ‘OSP' is hoping for the same result at UFC 274 but he doesn't believe the same two fighters are going to meet this time around, considering how much they've changed in eight years.

“It’s pretty much pointless (to watch the first fight),” Saint Preux said. “People change, fighters change and styles change over time.”
