Veteran combo guard Tyreke Evans could join the Indiana Pacers during their upcoming road trip which begins on Saturday against the Denver Nuggets.

Evans has missed the previous two games due to personal reasons and won't play on Thursday against the Oklahoma City Thunder at home.

Tyreke Evans has played in 57 games this season for the Pacers. He signed a one-year, $12 million free agent deal with the team last summer.

Evans is putting up 9.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game this season for Indiana while shooting 38.2 percent from the field, 35.1 percent from beyond the arc and 75.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Pacers head coach Nate McMillan has declined to elaborate on the situation. The Pacers will embark on a four-game West Coast road trip after Thursday's game against the Thunder.

Indiana will take on the Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers, LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors. The Pacers enter Thursday with a record of 43-25, which is good for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. The team has been able to stay afloat despite losing star shooting guard Victor Oladipo for the season.

Hopefully everything is okay with Evans and his family. Whenever a player is missing time for personal reasons, you always have to hope the player isn't dealing with a death in the family or something of that nature.
