Veteran point guard Tyreke Evans is reportedly not expected to be back with the Indiana Pacers next season, according to Scott Agness of The Athletic.

Evans signed a one-year, $12.4 million free agent deal with the Pacers last summer.

Nope. Don't expect Tyreke back. That was a bad fit from the beginning. Both parties are trying to make it work and get through the season. I don't think his case will impact future FAs at all.

It's been an unsuccessful partnership for Tyreke Evans and the Pacers.

He was suspended earlier in the season for being late to a practice and missed a few games two weeks ago for personal reasons. The former Rookie of the Year is a ball-dominant guard who likes to score first. That mindset hasn't meshed well with the Pacers and head coach Nate McMillan.

In 67 games this season, Evans is averaging 10.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest. The 29-year-old is shooting 38.3 percent from the field, 34.3 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free-throw line.

It's not by much, but the Pacers' offensive rating dips by 2.4 points when Evans is on the court. The guard will enter the open market this summer and likely be on another team in 2019-20.
