Pascal Siakam isn't wasting any time after being traded from the Toronto Raptors to the Indiana Pacers, as he plans to join his new team really soon and possibly suit up.

The Raptors, Pacers and New Orleans Pelicans agreed to a trade on Wednesday, sending Siakam to the Pacers. In exchange, Toronto gets Bruce Brown Jr., Jordan Nwora and three first-round picks from Indiana. The Pelicans send Kira Lewis Jr. to the Raps and a second-round pick to the Hoosier State in a separate trade that puts them under the luxury tax.

After the deal, Siakam is reportedly planning to head to Indiana soon to get his physical examination done. His hope is to join the Pacers before they play the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday–the second of a back-to-back game after the team visits the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, per Scott Agnes of Fieldhouse Files.

“Pascal Siakam plans to fly to Indy for a physical examination, then join the Pacers in Portland, league source told Fieldhouse Files,” Agnes wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

It remains to be seen if Pascal Siakam will be able to make his debut for the Pacers against the Blazers, though based on the report, it sure seems he's trying to.

If he's unable to be ready for the Blazers showdown, the next chance that Siakam will have to suit up for the Pacers for the first time will be on Sunday when they take on Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center.
