The Indiana Pacers will head to Northern California to face the Sacramento Kings at the Golden 1 Center. We're here to share our NBA odds series, make a Pacers-Kings prediction, and pick while showing you how to watch.

On Wednesday, the Pacers and Toronto Raptors agreed on a blockbuster trade to send Pascal Siakam to Indiana in exchange for Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, and three first-round picks.

The Pacers lost 132-105 to the Utah Jazz on Monday. Unfortunately, they were without Tyrese Haliburton again for a fourth-straight game after he injured his hamstring against the Boston Celtics last week. The Pacers fell behind 33-26 after the first quarter. Then, it got worse as they fell behind 64-50 at halftime. The game truly got worse in the third quarter, and the Pacers had no chance of a comeback. Significantly, Buddy Hield led the Pacers with 14 points.

Andrew Nembhard added 14 points. Also, Myles Turner and Jalen Smith each had 12 points. Bennedict Mathurin had 11 points until he suffered a tweaked ankle. Overall, the Pacers shot 40 percent from the field, including 29 percent from the triples. They also allowed 55.6 percent from the field, including 44 percent from the three-point line.

The Kings lost 119-117 to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. They led by 12 going into the fourth quarter. Then, they led 115-112 with 1:12 left in the game when they allowed Eric Gordon to hit a three-pointer to tie the game. De'Aaron Fox missed his next shot, and the Kings fouled Kevin Durant, who made two free throws. Next, Fox made the game-tying shot before fouling Durant again.

Durant hit two more free throws before Malik Monk missed the game-winning three-pointer as time expired. Overall, Fox had 33 points while going 12 for 24 from the field, including 6 for 10 from beyond the arc. Domantas Sabonis had a triple-double, scoring 21 points,  12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Additionally, Keegan Murray added 18 points. Kevin Huerter added 10 points. Meanwhile, Monk had 13 points off the bench. The Kings shot 58.3 percent from the charity stripe. Additionally, they lost the board battle 46-31.

The Pacers lead the head-to-head series 52-44. Ultimately, they split the series last season. The teams have split the last 10 games. Furthermore, the Kings are 3-2 over the last five games at home.

Why The Pacers Could Cover The Spread

The Pacers are 25-16-1 against the spread. Additionally, they are 7-7 as a road underdog. The Pacers are 4-4 when they have a rest advantage. Also, they are 4-6 against the other conference.

The Pacers have no Haliburton. Therefore, others must step up. Turner is averaging 17.2 points with 7.3 rebounds per game while shooting 52.9 percent from the field. Moreover, he might have to do more since Mathruin may not play. The Pacers would miss his performance, as he is averaging 14.6 points per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the field. Also, Hield is another option, as he averages 12.7 points per game,

The Pacers need more defense. Unfortunately, not having Bruce Brown did not help on Monday. He is also decent on offense, averaging 12.1 points per game. Also, the Pacers missed Aaron Nesmith on Monday as he sat out with a shin injury. Nesmith is averaging 11.8 points per game. Meanwhile, the Pacers might need Obi Toppin to do more. So far, he is averaging 11.6 points per game.

Why The Kings Could Cover The Spread

The Kings need to hit free throws. Unfortunately, that was the biggest issue in their loss against the Pacers. The Kings are the heavy favorites and will certainly look to bounce back.

Fox is averaging 28 points per game. Meanwhile, Sabonis is averaging 20.1 points and 12.7 rebounds per game. Murray is averaging 15.9 points per game. Likewise, Monk is averaging 15.3 points per game. The Kings need Harrison Barnes to get back to the levels he was at last season. This season, he is averaging 10.8 points per game. The Kings would also like to see more out of Huerter. Ultimately, he is averaging 9.9 points per game while shooting only  42.9 percent from the field.

The Kings are strong at shooting the ball but poor at the free-throw line, ranking last in the NBA in that category. Additionally, they struggle to block shots. The Kings are a fast-paced team that can take advantage of poor defenses.

The Kings will cover the spread if Fox and Sabonis can continue to shoot well while doing better at the charity stripe. Then, they need to hit their shots from beyond the arc and keep putting pressure on the Pacers.

Final Pacers-Kings Prediction & Pick

If the Pacers had Halburton, it might be a closer game. But the Pacers don't have him and might not even have Mathurin, either. Expect the Kings to bounce back in a major way and cover the spread.

Final Pacers-Kings Prediction & Pick: Sacramento Kings -8.5 (-108)
