Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers knows that a whole lot of things still need to happen for the team to grab a playoff spot in the NFC.

In their first game following the firing of former head coach Mike McCarthy, the Packers got back on track with a 34-20 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field.

But that was one of many steps that are needed for Rodgers and company to secure a postseason spot, which includes a variety of scenarios and outcomes that involve other teams in the conference.

However, the star quarterback is staying positive about his team's chances.

From Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette:

Aaron Rodgers on Packers playoff chances: “I’m aware of what the scores are. There’s been a number of games that needed to go our way, and they have all gone our way. So hopefully that continues.” Told crazy things happened before, Rodgers: “Maybe not as crazy as this would be”

It would be pretty wild if the Packers find themselves back in the playoffs, especially considering how disappointing things had been prior to McCarthy's exit.

But at this point, it's all about winning, and the next game won't exactly be easy. Green Bay will travel to Chicago on Sunday for a clash with the 9-4 Bears, and that game will present plenty of challenges after Matt Nagy's team took care of business against the Los Angeles Rams.

After that, the Packers will finish up the regular season with games against the New York Jets and Detroit Lions.
