What started as a simple announcement involving Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady on Wednesday morning has now exploded into full blown chaos on social media.

The announcement was simple: Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady vs. Bryson DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers in another edition of “The Match” scheduled for July 6th on TNT.

The intrigue of course, giving what is going on at the moment, rests with Rodgers and his ongoing dilemma with the Packers. What that fiasco will look like on July 6th is anybody's guess. What happened on social media today was a fiasco of its own.

Tom Brady is on a rampage and the man won't be stopped. He is absolutely burying Rodgers on social media today. Twitter, Instagram, it doesn't matter, he's taking it to multiple platforms. Here's a look at Brady's verbal swings.

The second meme is a knockout punch. Of course, Brady is referencing the NFC Championship when his Buccaneers beat Rodgers' Packers at Lambeau Field. But it gets even worse.

The graphic displayed for the match is already insulting enough. Labeling Rodgers as just “Reigning league MVP” seems insulting as the man has a Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP on his resume too. Then Brady chimes in and refers to Mickelson and himself as champions while calling DeChambeau a scientist and Rodgers a jeopardy host.

An onslaught for the ages, it even got Brooks Koepka to chime in and apologize to the Packers QB1.

The intrigue here is if Koepka is apologizing to Rodgers for Brady's memes with Koepka in them or if he's saying sorry that Rodgers has to play with DeChambeau. It's no secret that Koepka and DeChambeau aren't the best of friends.

So what does Mickelson think of all this?

My goodness. The daggers are flying from every angle.

Now we await a response from Rodgers, if he is to provide one.
