When the Green Bay Packers hired the young, unproven Matt LaFleur to be their new head coach last offseason, Aaron Rodgers did not seem too thrilled about it.

However, LaFleur's first year at the helm for the Packers was a smashing success, as Green Bay won 13 games, captured the NFC North division title and made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game.

So, it seems like Rodgers and LaFleur were just fine together.

Rodgers confirmed as much on A.J. Hawk's podcast this past weekend. When the subject of no one really hearing of any issues between Rodgers and LaFleur throughout the season was brought up by Hawk, the quarterback had this to say:

“Yeah, it was pretty f—— quiet, wasn't it?” said Rodgers, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic. … “The fact was, we got along really well.”

Rodgers threw for 4,002 yards, 26 touchdowns and four interceptions while completing 62 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 95.4 this past year, en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 36-year-old is no stranger to having issues with his head coach, as he had a rather tenuous relationship with Mike McCarthy during the latter stages of McCarthy's run in Green Bay.

Then, when LaFleur was brought aboard, Rodgers instantly bristled at potentially losing some control over the line of scrimmage, which would become known as “the audible thing.”

But it certainly seems that LaFleur and Rodgers ironed out any disagreements they may have had.

The Packers will be considered favorites to repeat as NFC North champions heading into 2020.
