Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has done a lot in the NFL. He has won a Super Bowl. He has won a pair of MVPs. He has led the league in passing touchdowns.

One thing he has not done, however, is play a game in London.

Oddly enough, the Packers, in spite of their popularity, are the only NFL team to not have played a game in London, nor are they scheduled to play one in England.

But when you realize the reason why Green Bay has not played overseas, you realize that it has nothing to do with the NFL not wanting the Packers over there and everything to do with the Packers themselves, as Green Bay simply does not want to give up a home game.

Rodgers understands the Packers' reluctance to do so, but he also hopes that, one day, he is able to play a game in London:

“Nobody wants to give up a home game with the Packers because they know it’s going to be a full house … We’re not going to give up a home game, because we’re sold out for the next 30 years,” Rodgers said during an interview with NFL UK.

The 35-year-old then added that he hopes the league “intervenes” and forces Green Bay to head across the pond, which may not sit very well with the Packers' front office.

Next year, Green Bay is scheduled to play three road games against teams that will also play in London: the Houston Texans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Chicago Bears.
