When a prestigious organization like the Green Bay Packers needs a head coach, the available candidates will obviously prefer them to most other teams that are also in need of one.

That also provides the Packers with the luxury of picking from a long list of candidates, and it appears that they are narrowing their search down to Adam Gase and Josh McDaniels, at least according to Tom Silverstein of USA Today Sports.

This would definitely make sense, as both Gase and McDaniels have a nice chunk of NFL experience, particularly in the case of McDaniels, who has been the offensive coordinator for arguably the greatest quarterback ever in Tom Brady for quite some time.

One of the main reasons why the Green Bay job is so currently attractive (outside of the prestige) is the presence of quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who, in spite of all of the heat he took for his performance this year, remains one of the best signal-callers in the league.

You would have to think McDaniels would love to work with another great quarterback and, due to his extensive experience with Brady, knows just how to do so. Then you have Gase, who has spent the last three years in Miami with Ryan Tannehill, so going from a mediocre guy like Tannehill to an all-time great like Rodgers would obviously be a welcome change.

The Packers went just 6-9-1 this season and fired long-time head coach Mike McCarthy after a devastating loss to the Arizona Cardinals in early December.
