The Green Bay Packers landed safety Adrian Amos in free agency last week, and Amos was appreciative of the Packers' aggressive approach in signing him.

“I guess in NFL terms, that’s how you show who wants you,” Amos said, according to Jim Owczarski of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “People can say they want you and people can say they have enough or don’t have enough, but that’s the way they show you they want you, by getting you.”

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst raved about Amos' potential:

“He’s a young ascending player, he has great physical traits,” Gutekunst said. “He’s an explosive athlete, very good tackler. I thought he could play in the box, near the line of scrimmage. You can move him around, blitz him, do some different things with him. He can play the post, as well. In his career, I thought you saw as he grew and his instincts grew, he became more and more of a playmaker. And just again someone we kind of liked coming out of college, watched him grow, think his best football is ahead of him and we’re excited to have.”

Amos spent the 2018 campaign with the Chicago Bears, playing in all 16 games and registering 73 tackles, a sack, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and nine passes defended.
