Everyone was itching to see Jalen Ramsey and Davante Adams face off against one another on Saturday, and it's Adams who is off to a fast start. To give the Green Bay Packers an early 10-3 lead over the Los Angeles Rams, Aaron Rodgers delivered a quick pass to Adams for a touchdown.

The play began with Ramsey trailing Adams when the All-Pro wideout went in motion to the left side of the field. Adams would proceed to go back in motion to the right side of the field, which caused the defense of the Rams to have a blown coverage on Adams.

It was a well-designed play by the Packers, who wanted to do everything they could to get Ramsey off of Adams at the goal line. While some believe that Adams beat Ramsey in coverage, it was the play call that allowed Adams to get wide open with Los Angeles not having someone play the flat.

The connection between Rodgers and Adams is extremely tough to stop, which is why Adams put together a historically good season in 2020. Adams finished with regular season with 115 receptions for 1,374 yards and a league-high 18 receiving touchdowns.

Before Saturday's game kicked off, Adams and Ramsey got into a bit of a skirmish that needed to be separated by officials on the field. Even though it was the play call and execution that got Adams an easy touchdown, most are going to view it as a loss by Ramsey in coverage.

On the other hand, the Rams may want to begin communicating better in the secondary if they want to have any chance of getting back in the game.
