The Green Bay Packers have picked up their share of injuries thus far during training camp. Two of their more notable casualties have been on the offensive side of the ball with left tackle David Bakhtiari and tight end Jimmy Graham.

But thankfully for the Packers, both players have made their way back to practice with the team following their respective injury layoffs.

Bakhtiari suffered a significant injury scare last week after he was carted off the field in practice. However, his injury was determined to be a mere sprained ankle, which should be fine by Week 1.

Bakhtiari didn’t take part in team drills, per Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, as Kyle Murphy continued to fill in at left tackle. But his mere presence is a promising sign that it likely won’t be too much longer before he makes his full return.

As for Graham, he sat out a couple of practices as well as the team’s preseason opener against the Titans after banging knees with a teammate in practice early last week. He was back taking part in drills and has apparently impressed with his blocking.

The 31-year-old Graham has a history of picking up niggling injuries over the course of his career, which the Packers are no doubt mindful of. Given the important role he figures to play in the Packers offense this season, it’s vital that they keep him as healthy as possible throughout the course of the year. That means taking extra precaution with his health by keeping him out of practice as well as inconsequential preseason games.
