In the NFL, kickers can miss multiple field goals during a game, but as long as they deliver in clutch situations, this is all that will be talked about afterward. This is what kicker Mason Crosby certainly endured in the Green Bay Packers' narrow 25-22 overtime road win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Crosby notched his first three field goals against the Bengals, including a 44-yard kick that opened up a notable five-point lead for Green Bay in the third quarter. But when it came to crunch time in the contest, Crosby simply could not deliver, which surprised many considering the multitude of game-winning field goals that he has hit in his career.

Crosby missed a trio of potential game-winning field goals in the fourth quarter and overtime. But fortunately for Green Bay, Bengals kicker Evan McPherson failed to drill his pair of such attempts as well.

In the end, Crosby delivered on his fourth potential game-winning attempt of the game as he sent a 49-yard field goal through the uprights to clinch a dramatic Week 5 road win over the Bengals.

After the game, Crosby touched on the shock he had as he was provided with a fourth opportunity to win the contest for the Packers.

“It’s kind of crazy that I’m standing up here with a win instead of talking about those misses,” Crosby said.

The veteran kicker attempted seven field goals against the Bengals, which is a new career-high for him.

As mentioned, what matters at the end of the day is whether a kicker can come through in pivotal situations. And while Crosby whiffed on three field goals and one extra point attempt against Cincinnati, much of the talk from this game will surely center on his heroics to secure the fourth win of the season for Green Bay.
