The Green Bay Packers just thumped the Oakland Raiders to improve to 6-1 on the season, and now, they are hoping to take care of another AFC West opponent next Sunday.

The Packers will head on the road to battle the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8, but don't get too excited: Patrick Mahomes will not be playing for the Chiefs due to the knee injury he suffered last Thursday, ending everyone's dream of a Mahomes-Aaron Rodgers showdown.

As a result of Mahomes' absence, Green Bay is opening up as four-point favorites at Arrowhead Stadium:

The Packers have won three straight games, all of which have come without No. 1 wide receiver Davante Adams.

But even with Adams sidelined, Green Bay's offense has begun to find its groove, as it is averaging 33 points per game over these last three weeks, and against the Raiders, Rodgers had what was easily his best performance of the season, throwing for 429 yards and five touchdowns.

The Packers' only loss came back in Week 4, when they fell to a desperate Philadelphia Eagles club in a Thursday night game.

Since then, Green Bay has reeled off wins over the Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions and Raiders, all of whom had winning records at the time the Packers beat them.

Green Bay is currently tied with the New Orleans Saints for the second-best record in the NFC behind the 6-0 San Francisco 49ers.

Meanwhile, Kansas City has gotten off to a 5-2 start, most recently routing the Denver Broncos by a score of 30-6 in spite of Mahomes missing half of the game.
