For the second consecutive week, Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Hundley will be without starting tight end Martellus Bennett.

Per Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.com, Mike McCarthy told the media Wednesday that Bennett will be inactive Sunday when the Packers take on the rival Chicago Bears. Bennett also missed Green Bay's Monday night defeat at the hands of the Detroit Lions as he continues to deal with a shoulder injury.

Ever since Aaron Rodgers went down with a broken collarbone against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6, the team has sputtered, falling to 4-4 after a 4-1 start to the season. With Hundley under center, the offense has struggled to consistently move the ball on the ground or through the air.

Injuries at other positions haven't helped matters for Green Bay. Star offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga was lost for the season with a torn ACL on Monday, and starting safety Morgan Burnett won't play this week with a hamstring issue.

It's not only the offense that hasn't performed well since Rodgers went down. With Hundley & company not sustaining drives, the defense has found themselves on the field quite a bit, and they're starting to wear down. Against the Lions on Monday, the Packers failed to force a punt the entire game; every drive for Detroit either ended with a score or a turnover.
