There is a new regime for the Green Bay Packers with Matt LaFleur taking the reins at head coach. LaFleur seems to be excited to coach the Packers' featured running back, Aaron Jones.

LaFleur, the Packers' new head coach, spoke to the media about Jones and expressed what the running back does well. All in all, Matt LaFleur loves running back Aaron Jones.

Over the past two seasons, Jones has become more and more involved in Green Bay's offense. In 2018, Jones had his best season in green and yellow.

The former fifth-round draft pick of the Packers rushed for 728 yards on 133 carries and eight touchdowns. Jones also showed he could provide some production as a pass-catcher with 26 receptions for 206 yards and another score.

Coming into 2019, the expectations are sky-high for Jones and the Packers' rushing attack. As a team, Green Bay ranked 22nd in the NFL in rushing last season. That number has to improve if the Packers want to see the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

With the arrival of LaFleur and his offensive schemes, the Packers should be able to improve their ability to run the ball. It's good to see that LaFleur is already a fan of Jones and what he can bring to the table for the offense.

Packers fans have been calling for more opportunities for Aaron Jones. It seems he'll get the nod as the number one guy in the backfield in 2019. Add that to a healthy Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams, and you have a talented offense in the works.
