With the Carolina Panthers and Bryce Young struggling to start this season, remaining the only team without a win this season, while CJ Stroud has hit the ground running with the Houston Texans, Frank Reich and the team have caught some flack. In his press conference this week, Reich discussed Bryce Young and CJ Stroud, and how he felt about them while evaluating them during the draft process.

“As you would expect, I'm not gonna comment about… you know I'm more than happy to talk about our quarterback. I thought the whole quarterback draft class was a really good class,” Frank Reich said, via Nick Carboni of WCNC. “I really enjoyed diving into each one of them. I thought they all were good players. If you looked at my score card on all of them, I thought they were all good players. We just thought Bryce was the best. I thought Bryce was the best. Not taking anything away form anybody else, so we're excited to have him. We talked a lot back then about what we liked about Bryce and why we chose Bryce, so I'll just leave it at that.”

The Panthers traded up to the No. 1 spot to take Young, so they are betting on him becoming a very good quarterback. That has not been seen yet in his rookie season, although it is early. There were some signs of life when Young and the Panthers got off to a good start against the Miami Dolphins, before eventually losing.

The Panthers will face Stroud and the Texans at home in a matchup that includes the first two picks of this year's NFL Draft.
