It's a time of uncertainty for the Carolina Panthers. Cam Newton, their franchise QB who has been the team's focal point on offense since 2011, has been put on injured reserve for the remainder of the season and Kyle Allen will be playing as the starter.

And given his contract situation, it's still up in the air whether Cam Newton will be able to play for the Panthers again.

While things are looking up for Allen, he took his time to send out an encouraging message to his teammate. He posted a picture of him and Newton on his Instagram profile and captioned it with a message of encouragement for the man he was supposed to back up this season.

The 30-year-old Newton has been the rock on which the Panthers have been built for most of this decade. He had an unforgettable rookie season where he finished with 4021 passing yards, 21 touchdowns, and a QB rating of 84.5. He built on his rookie year to build an impressive career tally of 29041 passing yards and 182 touchdowns over 125 games played.

However, the Lisfranc injury to his left foot has stifled any chances of him playing more than two games this season. In the two games where he did play, he was nothing more than a shell of himself on the field. It was obvious that the injury affected him as he wasn't able to impose his will on opposing defenses.

Fortunately for the team, Allen has been more than a suitable replacement. The second-year QB has been a solid player for the Panthers, notching 1291 passing yards and nine TDs in six starts.

It's still a question mark if Newton will be shipped off in the offseason, but it's nice to see the camaraderie between the two QBs.
