The Carolina Panthers' 2019 season has simply not gone their way, and Christian McCaffrey knows this. After losing former NFL MVP quarterback Cam Newton in Week 2, the franchise saw some light with undrafted gunslinger Kyle Allen under center before the bottom fell out eventually, and nothing has looked quite right since.

Star running back Christian McCaffrey spoke about the difficulties the Panthers experiences this season, stepping up as a leader and saying that the blame doesn't fall on one individual but the team as a whole (via Panthers).

The Panthers fired longtime head coach Ron Rivera a few weeks ago, shouldering part of the blame on the 5-10 season on the coach that brought Carolina to a Super Bowl not long ago.

Carolina will head into the 2020 offseason with more questions than answers, and team owner David Tepper plans on making big changes, reportedly. However, it's implausible to believe that the Pro-Bowl rusher McCaffrey will not be involved in the immediate future of the franchise.
