When Luke Kuechly is on the other side of the field, one's play call must avoid the Carolina Panthers. When one's back is against the wall with Kuechly staring down, praying is the best option; Kuechly finds ball, then tackles ball.

Backed up on their own goal line following a delay of game, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dialed up a run to back Peyton Barber. It turns out, Kuechly did precisely what he's known for: assume the play, then get it right.

As if he were reading a book, Kuech;y diagnoses Bruce Arians' play call and forces a safety to narrow Tampa Bay's lead to three points. With the tackle, Kuechly earned his 14th tackle of the day and second for a loss, a standard stat line for his incredible career. Kuechly's career-high tackles for a game stands at 24 — against the New Orleans Saints during the 2013 season.

Known for his legendary film room workings, Kuechly is often dubbed as the opponent's offensive coordinator on defense. Very rarely is Kuechly fooled. No matter what an offense throws at him, he's often there; he's a film room warrior, and supplements that with the weight room, in turn, creating the linebacking monster seen on “Thursday Night Football.”

Here was a hilarious reaction to the safety Luke Kuechly created:

While Kuechly's big play narrowed the Buccaneers' lead to three, his team struggled up to that point; after Tampa Bay since Jameis Winston threw a touchdown pass to Chris Godwin late in the second quarter. The linebackers defense has remained tough, but Cam Newton hasn't been doing his Panthers any favors.
