Bill Belichick, the head coach of football dynasty New England Patriots, rained praise on the Miami Dolphins. Yes, you read that right.

The team that just suffered an embarrassing defeat to open their season to the Baltimore Ravens. However, defeats like these come with the fact that they are looking to get the top pick of the draft.

However, that didn't stop one of the best coaches in the sport to talk praise about his opponents. He said that the team's youth should prove to be a tough foil for his veterans.

“Last week was last week. I’m sure they’ll make a lot of corrections,” Belichick said on a conference call, per Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper. “The first game, with a new program, is always a big learning experience for everybody and you just keep getting better every week. I’m sure we’ll get a strong effort from Miami this week and we’ve got to be ready to go.

“Again, they have a lot of good players, a lot of good skill players, a lot of good players on defense. They’re young, they’re aggressive, they’re talented and we’re going to have to contend with all of them and the scheme that they come up with. I’m sure they’ll have things that we’re not working on and we’ll have to be ready to handle those.”

No additional words need to be said about the Dolphins. They lost 59-10 against the Ravens, giving Brian Flores' team a rough start to the season. However, Belichick isn't particularly wrong with his statement.

While inconsistent, Josh Rosen offers a promise of development and growth. The secondary is sure to improve as time goes on. The offense should also kick into gear and try to give fans satisfying performances as they tank their way to the first overall pick.

Belichick's praise could also be another jab by the seasoned coach. However, he doesn't necessarily need to do that when he has one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game throwing the football.
