The New England Patriots won't have running back Rhamondre Stevenson available for a huge Week 16 showdown against the Buffalo Bills, but fellow running back Damien Harris is set to play despite a hamstring injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Harris is the Patriots' leading rusher with 754 yards and nine touchdowns on the season, but he missed the last game against the Indianapolis Colts, a 27-17 loss. With Stevenson ruled out of the lineup due to an illness, New England will surely lean on Harris against Buffalo, though just how much remains to be seen.

In the Patriots' last game against the Bills, Harris had 10 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown in a 14-10 victory. Mac Jones threw just three passes in the blustery conditions, with Harris and Stevenson doing a ton of damage on the ground.

New England is 9-5 on the season and looking to take complete control of the AFC East with a victory over Buffalo. The Bills are a game behind the Patriots in the standings, so this is a huge swing game in the race for the division, with the Miami Dolphins charging hard behind both teams. Furthermore, Buffalo's 8-6 record has them holding the No. 7 spot in the crowded AFC playoff picture.

This should be an epic game as these two teams fight it out. Jones is surely happy to have Harris back, and we'll see just how much work the running back gets as he returns from this injury.
