The New England Patriots' season has come to an end, and Mac Jones is reminiscing on his rookie season. The young quarterback took to Instagram Tuesday afternoon to share pictures from the season, as well as an inspiring message.

Jones posted six pictures of him with his teammates, including Hunter Henry and Damien Harris. He then wrote:

“What an unbelievable ride this first year has been. There's no other group of guys I'd rather work with, grow with and compete with. Cannot wait to play in front of the greatest fans in the world again! #GoPats #JustGettingStarted”

Jones and the Patriots suffered a brutal loss to the Buffalo Bills Wild Card Weekend. It was Jones' NFL Playoff debut, and he didn't play as well as he did throughout the regular season. This is the same for multiple quarterbacks during the first weekend of playoffs. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts made his NFL Playoff debut and had a similar game to Jones in the Eagles' loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Regardless of the outcome of the game or Jones' performance Saturday night, the Patriots had a great season. They finished the regular season 10-7, 2nd in the AFC East, and earned a spot in the playoffs. Their success is largely attributed to the leadership and talent of Jones, who sounds like he wants to stay with his teammates in New England for a while. If that's the case, the Patriots have a promising future ahead of them.
