The Jacksonville Jaguars’ confidence is through the roof right now after sending the Pittsburgh Steelers crashing out of Super Bowl contention with a huge 45-42 upset win at Heinz Field last Sunday. That kind of confidence can’t be personified better than Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who assured Jacksonville fans that they would win the Super Bowl this season after taking down Pittsburgh.

Of course, that’s going to be easier said than done with the New England Patriots standing between them and an appearance in the Super Bowl in Minneapolis this coming February. Despite Ramsey’s braggadocio, Patriots players don’t seem to be affected or offended by the cornerback’s bold talk, per Mark Reiss of ESPN.

“Jalen Ramsey is a good player. He talks a lot of trash. That’s a part of his game, and you can’t take it away from him,” Patriots safety Duron Harmon, one of the team’s captains, said Monday. “He’s confident. He should be confident in his team. He has a really good football team.

The Patriots are always going to be a tough team to beat in Foxborough, but Ramsey and the Jaguars do seem to have the tools to slow down the defending champions’ high-octane offense. Jacksonville finished the regular season second in the league in scoring defense with only 16.8 points allowed per game. The Jags’ secondary has been deadly with the team getting 21 interceptions this season, including four from Jalen Ramsey.

It’s easy for many to underestimate the Jaguars in a matchup against an established franchise like New England, but Jacksonville has been feeding off of that kind of public perception for motivation. In fact, the Jaguars are 3-1 in their last four games as road underdogs.
