New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is at the point of his playing career where even in losses, he can’t help but make history. Take for example Week 15’s 17-10 road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in which he reached a rare statistical NFL milestone that should only add to his legacy.
According to NFL Research, Brady joins Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Brett Favre in the 70,000 passing yards club.
Close your eyes if you don't like “Tom Brady is great because he's on this all-time list” Brady just became the 4th quarterback in NFL history with 70,000+ passing yards. Drew Brees 73,908 Peyton Manning 71,940 Brett Favre 71,838
Against the Steelers, Brady put up 279 passing yards with a touchdown and an interception on 25-of-36 completions. It was an inferior performance compared to what he put up in Week 14’s 34-33 loss to the Miami Dolphins wherein the future Hall of Famer had 358 passing yards and three touchdowns and zero picks.
Brady, who turned 41 last August, is still the barometer of the Patriots, as the team will go as far as where he takes them. That being said, Brady can’t do it alone, as highlighted by New England’s back-to-back losses to Miami and Pittsburgh.
Brady and the Patriots will look to end a two-game losing skid next Sunday against the Buffalo Bills at home.
