The chances of Tom Brady and Antonio Brown reuniting next season are slim, but the New England Patriots quarterback rekindled the rumors on social media. On Friday, Brady responded to Brown's tweet with a heart emoji.

Brown, who is a free agent, is attempting to convince a team to give him an opportunity to continue his career in the NFL. Of course, the only reason he remains in free agency is due to the ongoing investigations involving him and his off-the-field antics.

On the other hand, Brady is preparing to test free agency for the first time in his legendary career with the Patriots. Ahead of free agency, there have been rumors circulating around some NFL circles that Brady and Brown could be a package deal. However, it's tough to envision Brady wanting to make his decision dependent on Brown.

Last offseason, Brown was traded to the Oakland (now Las Vegas) Raiders from the Pittsburgh Steelers. But after creating a circus off of the field, the Raiders released the All-Pro receiver before the regular season. Following his release, the Patriots chose to sign Brown.

In his one game in New England, Brown and Brady had an immediate synergy, connecting on four passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Then, after one game with the team, there were sexual assault allegations that surfaced involving Brown and his former trainer.

As a result, the Patriots were inclined to release Brown amid his legal issues. Nevertheless, it appears that Brady and Brown continue to have a relationship despite his release. The extent of their relationship remains unclear, but Brown is hoping it leads to an opportunity in the near future.
