The New England Patriots are well on their way to maintaining their perfect start to the 2019 NFL season. It seems quarterback Tom Brady has managed to join some elite company in the process.
Brady has now passed Hall of Famer Brett Favre for the third-most career passing yards in NFL history, via NFL Twitter:

Brady needed just over 1,300 yards coming into the 2019 NFL season to surpass Favre. He needed only five games to reach the mark and is slated to add plenty of more yards to that total this year. He is now well within striking distance of future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning's mark of 71,940.

With all that he has accomplished throughout his career, feats like these only serve as the icing on the cake in his bod to establish himself as the greatest player of all time.
Regardless, it is safe to assume that his only concern is finding a way to secure his seventh Super Bowl ring.
By this time next week, Brady will likely only have on more player left to pass on the NFL's all-time passing yards list. Unfortunately, this may be a bit of a tall task even for him considering it is New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
While his recent absence due to injury has allowed Brady to catch up, Brees will undoubtedly be looking to add to his healthy lead in the near future.
