Players around The Association are still talking about the early-season scuffle between Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul. The latest to chime in his thoughts is New Orleans Pelicans forward Nikola Mirotic, who appeared on Generacion NBA, per HoopsHype.

“I believe everything Rajon Rondo says,” Nikola Mirotic said. “He had strong comments about Chris Paul. I can’t talk about Chris Paul because honestly I don’t know him. I do know he’s kind of a nuisance when you play against him, he talks a lot, complains a lot… he also insults you. But that’s part of the game. What I saw in that clip, it was not so much about Rajon spitting on him, it’s more about this guy poking him in the eye… and Rajon reacted well. It’s a normal reaction when somebody tries to attack you that you want to protect yourself. I’m not coming to Rajon’s defense or saying [throwing a punch] is what you should do, but I understand it’s a normal reaction.”

Paul and Rondo infamously traded punches with each other in the Los Angeles Lakers-Houston Rockets matchup early this season. The two combustible personalities continued to go at it through the media after the game. Paul initially blamed Rondo for spitting on his face. Rondo denied the allegations and, in the process, claimed that Paul is a horrible teammate.

Nikola Mirotic doubled down on Rondo's claims as he thinks that playing against Paul is annoying and that he talks a lot. The Pelicans sweet-shooting forward is obviously taking the side of his former teammate in Rondo. The two were able to showcase good chemistry with each other, especially in the Pelicans' 4-0 ousting of the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of last season's playoffs.

Nonetheless, it seems like the rivalry between Paul and Rondo are far from over. To this day, people are still talking about them.
