There is a lot of drama and speculation throughout the New Orleans Pelicans' saga with Zion Williamson. The star power forward has yet to play a game this season due to injury, and a potential reason for his “detachment” from the team recently surfaced. Rumor has it, Williamson doesn't trust the Pelicans' vice president of basketball operations David Griffin.

However, Williamson threw Pelicans fans a bone with some positive teammate interactions amid the negativity and drama.

Teammate Willy Hernangomez posted a picture of him and Jaxson Hayes helping Williamson up on the court to Instagram. He captioned it “Through the ups and downs….we never let a brother alone…”

Williamson commented on the post saying “My dawgs 4L,” and reposted it to his own Instagram story with the same comment. Pelicans beat writer Will Guillory tweeted a picture of Williamson's Instagram story Thursday afternoon.

He fractured his right foot and had surgery to repair it ahead of the season, but hasn't been available for the Pelicans yet this year. Last week, news broke that Williamson might need a second surgery to address the injury, which would push his season debut back even further. Fortunately, from their social media interaction Thursday afternoon, it seems like his teammates have his back through it all.
