Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is a beast on the boards and he is proving to be a capable scorer this season as well. Drummond submitted his fourth 20/20 game of the young 2018-19 season when he recorded 25 points and 24 rebounds in their game versus the Miami Heat.

No one else in the entire league has a 20/20 game this year as the 6-year veteran has hoarded all four such games.

His previous 20/20 games include 24 points and 20 rebounds in the season opener against the Brooklyn Nets, 26 and 22 four games later versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Facing the Nets once again last Wednesday, the Pistons big man dominated the competition with 24 points and 23 rebounds.

Monday night’s huge game was Drummond’s response after he was humbled in his matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid last Saturday. The Pistons big only had eight points and nine rebounds in that game while center counterpart and rival Embiid had 37 points and 17 rebounds.

Despite his monstrous performance, the Pistons fell to the Heat 120-115. Drummond’s frontcourt partner Blake Griffin also had a big game with 24 points and 15 rebounds.

All in all, this was yet another excellent performance by the still very young big man. Folks will want him to do it against Embiid, but that might only be a matter of time.
