LeBron James shoveling 57 points down the Washington Wizards’ throat wasn’t the only amazing feat that left NBA fans picking their jaws up from the floor on Friday night. There’s also the fact that Detroit Pistons big man and known incompetent free-throw shooter Andre Drummond went 14-of-16 from the foul line in a 105-96 home win over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks.

We don’t know whether Drummond finally found the right God to pray to over the offseason now that he suddenly looks like Steve Nash instead of Shaquille O’Neal at the charity stripe, but all the time he spent working on his stroke is seemingly paying off.

When asked about his noticeable improvement from the free-throw line, Drummond attributed his success to hard work, per Nick Friedell of ESPN.

“It's just a testament, over the years, not even just the summer, just throughout the years, the hard work I've put in to finding something that really works,” Drummond said after the game. “

Prior to the start of the 2017-18 campaign, Drummond had shot no better than 41.8 percent from the line in any of his previous seasons in the league. This year, Drummond is making 77.8 percent of his free throw tries. That may be a dramatic shift from his 38.6 free throw percentage from last season, but it’s not a product of a miracle. It’s proof that with the right dedication, anything is possible. Right, Dwight Howard?
