The Detriot Pistons front office has officially been shaken up.

According to several accounts mentioned first by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pistons have parted ways with general manager Jeff Bower.

Bower, 57, spent four seasons in Detroit, first coming over with Stan Van Gundy entrenched as the president and head coach. He helped SVG execute trades with Reggie Jackson and Blake Griffin while drafting Stanley Johnson back in 2015.

The move comes as no surprise. Bower and Van Gundy were attached at the hip. Once Van Gundy was removed from his duties last month, Bower was sure to follow.

The organization hired Ed Stefanski as a senior advisor to owner Tom Gores as they navigate through an offseason in which much uncertainty lies ahead.

Detroit finished 39-43 a year ago, just four games out of an Eastern Conference playoff spot. With a roster of Jackson, Griffin, Tobias Harris, Andre Drummond and Avery Bradley, the expectations are phenomenally high in the Motor City.
