No need to panic Detroit Pistons fans, Jerami Grant is fine. Or at least, that's what coach Dwane Casey is hoping.
Grant had to leave the floor in the third quarter of their game on Monday night against the San Antonio Spurs after falling hard on the floor, hip first. The 27-year-old forward ended up taking the rest of the night off, playing just 27 minutes and ending up with 14 points.
According to Casey though, Grant is totally fine. His decision to keep him out of the rest of the game was just to give his younger guys some minutes, reiterating that Grant's status isn't too worrisome (via Omari Sankofa II of Detroit Free Press).
“I thought the young guys needed minutes, competed their butts off at the end.”

Casey's optimism should definitely be a welcome development for all the fans from Motor City. Grant's fall was scary, to say the least, and losing the former Syracuse standout, who's having one heck of a campaign, would be a punch to the gut of the Pistons.
Ouch – that hurts just looking at it. We're certainly hoping Jerami Grant can shake this one off after taking a tumble underneath the basket. We'll have the rest of the 3rd quarter action for you on FOX Sports Detroit. #DetroitUp pic.twitter.com/GmljOrrWtw

The Pistons will be carefully watching his status as they have high hopes for their main man. All eyes have been on the seven-year forward as he made a huge move to Motown in the offseason after an incredible year for the Denver Nuggets. With guys like Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose all being shipped out, the Pistons seem to be all-in in their young core with Grant at the forefront.
Hopefully, Dwane Casey is right and Jerami Grant is really okay.
