The Detroit Pistons are currently hit by the injury bug. Yes, it's the beginning of the season and it's already here.

First, Blake Griffin will be out until at least the first week of November, dealing with knee and hamstring issues. Now, Pistons guard Reggie Jackson is out, too.

Jackson is out with a back injury as the Pistons take on the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday night. Jackson was previously listed as questionable to play after leaving Thursday night's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks due to low back tightness.

The Pistons are a team that will be interesting to see once they all get healthy. The signing of Derrick Rose gives Detroit a boost, as it adds an additional element to their offensive attack.

Once Reggie Jackson and Blake Griffin is healthy, the Pistons have all the makings to be a sleeper team in the East.

However, it will be smart for the Pistons to cautiously work Jackson back from his injury. A back issue is not a delicate issue to mess around with. Of course, if not treated correctly, it could hinder Jackson's mobility for years to come. It's important for the team to see that it's just the beginning of the season. and they have 80 plus games to get Jackson back healthy.

So while Jackson is out Saturday night, let's hope that he gets the treatment needed for a speedy recovery.
